Plumber 24 hours prides itself in being able to get to you within 2 hours response time. In unusual circumstances this cannot be guaranteed which is explained in more detail in the About Us. Martin Smith is a Plumber and also a Web Marketing Engineer who takes calls.
Please keep note: If there is any details in the form that is incorrect for example the phone number or the address is incorrect you may lose your deposit. For example; the Plumber turns up at the wrong address. As soon as the engineer get's into his car and is on his way to the address submitted where no fault of the Engineers he is unaible to do the work then Martin Smith has to pay the Engineer a Fee of £30.00 is one of the reasons there is a fee paid before we send an Engineer out to the property. If you would like an Engineer to go to your property then there will be an Additional call out fee howeve as a good will gesture we may refund this minuse £10.00 depending on the circumstance of the job. But as a good will gesture, we will try to find you an alternative Engineer. We will not be able to attend until all details have been corrected and followed up by a call to Martin Smith (Plumber24hours).
Martin Smith (Plumber24hours) is a National company that will find you your nearest Plumber at there best ability. If Martin Smith (Plumber24hours) can not locate you a Plumber we will refund you your deposit within 48 hours from Monday to Friday. This must be requested after 2 hours from completing Martin Smith Form or Martin Smith Plumbing Form. Our Terms and Conditions include that you also know the about us (Writen below) as we do not have the time to explain how we work our service over the phone.
The Minimum Charge is for the hour, (But what if the hour is up). The charges are then done by the half hour even if the clock strike 1 minute past which is then up to then Engineer to decide if he want to reduce the bill as a good will.
If the customer is not with then Engineer well the work is taking place then the engineer must inform the customer that the work has gone over the 2 hours to save any future arguements, this may be done verbily if you there is trust or by text to the customers mobile number, Signed or Email or maybe any other way of evidence which shows the reason the customer could not be contacted meaning (The customer has given full trust to the engineer knowing there can not be any contact until the next day or so).
About Martin Smith (plumbing24hours) Lead fees can be paid by the customer of £20 which will be paid for by the customer. This will be used as a deposit and also saves the Engineer from making lead fee payments, and secures there booking. Alternatively the customer pays the Plumber and the Plumber pays the Lead fee on completion. How does this help the customer - This helps the customer to gain our trust when paying a deposit so they have piece of mind that the Plumber will come out. This also benefits the Plumber by knowing they are not coming out to a hoax or a job that will cancel when paying a deposit. Also as a National company we have a list of the most reliable Plumbers which saves you time in looking especially in an Emergency that is causing you alot of damage. However we can not guarantee them turning up all the time. For example; the Engineer may break down on the journey, or for any other reason but we do our best in any case.
About Martin Smith - They are the sister company to Martin Smith, they are very similar to Martin Smith. The difference is where Martin Smith compete against the market and have more of a data base of Engineers than Martin Smith expecially when it comes to the out of areas where the lead fee is alot more, but is paid for by the customer as a deposit. This then helps us to compete against our competitors, but at the same time is keeping the costs down for the customer. What the customer needs to understand is the cost of advertising to a job is estimated at £35 which seems alot but unfortunatly to be a competitive business this is what the costs are. The cost of the lead fee is the deposit payment.
All Engineers are Self Employed and we do not subcontract work out, we are a lead fee deposit based company only either paid by the customer or the Engineers.
The lead fee can range from around £30 - £70 Depending on the type of Emergency where we can get you a self employed Plumber to you. The lead fee you pay which is known as a deposit call out fee is what you pay for us to find the engineer as this can take anything up to an hour and sometime longer.
We dont hold any responsibility for any engineers but take all complain serious by filling in any of the forms on the web site.
